Eagle Fun Days Parade

I've lived here in the little town of Eagle for three years but this was my first time at the parade. Kirk has taken the boys before and they have always had a BLAST. Towards the end of the parade the fire trucks come through and spray the crowd. Good thing it was a hot sunny day. I got immediately drenched. Then a bunch of floats come through and they have water wars with the crowd. Joe was right out there in the thick of it! I didn't get too many photos because I didn't want my camera to get wet!!

Surprise!!

We pulled off a fabulous surprise party for my dear friend Angie's birthday on Saturday. It was so fun! Angie had no idea. She DID NOT want a party or any kind of big deal made for her (unlike me where I just want 200 of my closest friends and lobster and champagne and... well you get the picture!) It was a low-key BBQ and pool party at my next door neighbor Pam's house. All of the kids had a ball in the pool. Angie and I went swimming in the chocolate fountain! LOL.

Happy 40th Angie!! You ROCK and you look WICKED young!

new layouts

Here is a layout I did for a fun contest at Create My Keepsake called Last Scrapper Standing. The gals over there are so much fun and super talented so it's just fun to be a part of it.

This is one of the twins that I did with some of my Pink Paislee goodies. I wanted to do a baby layout without the traditional pink or blue or pastels.

Have a fun weekend!

my little genius...

While I was creating this layout of my sweet girl, Lexi, Nate came in and started playing with my letters. He arranged them into this word and looked up at me and said "zebra". He is such a word nerd like his mom! He is four years old and can read about 100 words! I started reading at three years old and still have a passion for reading. Sometimes I read enlightening material, sometimes I read fluff. What are you reading now?? What have you read recently that you loved? I am reading "fluff"!! Wild Pitch by Mike Lupica a fictional novel about baseball. All fun and good stuff. I just finished reading Knitting Under the Influence by Claire LaZebnik. I thought it would be total fluff but it turned out to be enlightening. One of the gals in the knitting group was an Autism therapist and I enjoyed reading about what she did with the little boy she worked with. The author has a son with Autism so it was very real. Let's see, I also read Daniel Isn't Talking. It was another book about a boy with Autism. Very good. I would highly recommend it.

Okay, I'm going to sign off now to go read Go Dog Go with Nate. Do you like my hat? I do not like your hat! LOL.

Catching up!

So life's been kinda busy and crazy lately. May seems to feel like December with all the stuff going on. It's fun though. This is what gets me through...

Have you tried this blend (available at Starbucks)? So good! I actually go to bed at night dreaming about waking up to it!

Last week, Cristina and I took nate to the zoo with his preschool class. I had major nightmares the night before because we were taking him "sans stroller" and he always tries to bolt! Thank goodness for Cristina (I love her!!) who is even faster than Nate. He did pretty well for about an hour and then got really overwhelmed so we took our picnic on the road and ate at home.

My son Joe, who is leaving middle school and starting high school next year (OMG!) had to dress up to present a project. We didn't even have to buy him clothes because he fit into his Dad's!! Crazy. He looked so nice and did a great job.

Last night I met up with some of my girlfriends to see Sex and the City. So good. I've watched every one of the tv shows a couple of times and the movie did not disappoint! Did you see it? What was your favorite part? I have too many to name! I want to go see it again!

Hope you all have a great week. Mine is chock full of stuff but all fun stuff so it's all good!

Manny Being Manny!

Manny Ramirez is one of the greatest hitters ever to hit a baseball and has the prettiest swing I've ever seen. Love this guy! Congrats Manny on hitting your 500th homerun tonight!! Yeah, baby!! He hit a bomb to right center, first pitch, off of the submariner, Chad Bradford of the Orioles. Sox won 6-3.

Stay tuned for the mayhem that will be the Celtics VS Lakers rematch!!

I know there are only one or two of you that read this blog for sports news. Bear with me! WoooooHooooo!

So blessed!!

How lucky am I?? I got to love on these babies all day yesterday and again today. They are the sweetest babies! When Joe and Nick got home from school they were totally fighting over Miles! They love him! When I told them they would be here again today Joe yelled, I call Miles! Too funny. Joe nicknamed Clara, "Eclaira" because she has these chubby rolls and looks like she's had to many eclairs, LOL!

Such little blessings! There are going to be some major baby scrapbook layouts being cranked out this weekend! Get better fast Stacey, they miss their auntie! xoxox
