a big deal, some layouts and a wicked great giveaway!

Hey! It's Tuesday! You know what that means right? Um, it's Tuesday! Whatevah! Cristina, who is my son Nate's therapist (for Autism), and pretty much the nicest person I know, seriously, gave me this shirt yesterday! I guess she must hear me say it all of the time, LOL! Nothing like a little self confidence, right! I love it!

The other day I got a fabulous "happy box" from Denise! It had tons of beautiful Jenni Bowlin goodies, some Heidi Swapp, lots of lace cardstock, some Teresa Collins stuff. So inspiring! I love getting new goodies. I created these layouts for her:

I love being her personal scrapper and she loves to shop! It's a win/win thing! The problem is the girl sends me too much. Sometimes she sends the same stuff 2 or 3 times because she loves it so much! I told her she I was going to start sharing some of it with my friends who scrap and she was all for it. She loves to read your comments too! So, from now on, when I get a "happy box", one of YOU get a "happy box".

The other day I shared my news with you that I will be designing some stamps to be produced in the near future (thanks to my friend KIM!) Well, Kim sent me some suggestions of some stuff she would love to see on stamps with my handwriting so I want to hear from you too. Leave me a comment and let me know what you would love to see in rubber (keep it clean, LOL!) Do you have a favorite quote or catch phrase or are there sentiments you want?

I will pick a winner at random on Wednesday night (after the Red Sox playoff game of course!) for one lucky duck who will get some fabulous stuff!

Good luck and GO SOX!
love to ya!

some layouts and some wicked good news...

Sunday blogging here! Hope this weekend is finding you well. We had an absolute blast Friday night at my friend Lori S's 40th birthday party. Crazy fun, danced for hours! A group of the hubbies did a Chippendale style dance for her (a tame one) and I was crying from laughing so hard. Yesterday and today we just hung around the house and outside. The weather here in Idaho could not be nicer. Leaves are starting to turn but it still feels like summer. We are still mowing the lawn and watering the flowers. I haven't gotten my fall decorations up yet. Still milking the summer feeling. I was inspired to do some layouts of some favorite summer photos:

This summer my friend Michelle celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary! WoW! That is quite an accomplishment and an inspiration. She wanted a canvas to commemorate their big event and I created this:

Thanks Denise for all of the Heidi Swapp and Jenni Bowlin goodness that graced my doorstep yesterday. I will blog about that manana with a BIG giveaway!

My good news is that I got a call from a woman that owns a stamp company and she would like me to design my own line of stamps with my handwriting! I don't want to give you all of the details until she approves my designs but they will be of high quality rubber and I am designing like crazy to give her lots to choose from!

Thanks for all of your comments, encouraging words and support!

So excited for Desperate Housewives premiere tonight!

Loves to ya!

Five Faves Friday...

Happy first week of FALL! I can't believe it is Friday already. Where did my week go? It flew by, I tell ya! I have a crazy day today but I had to take a few minutes to post my faves for you.

While everyone else in the universe was looking forward to Grey's Anatomy last night, I was SO excited about Betty!

Yep, my favorite TV show is Ugly Betty, hands down! Love it! Thanks Denise for making me watch it!

Have you seen these?
KI Memories Sheer Delights papers! They look so cool! Can't wait to play with them.

Or how about these? So cute. New fabric flowers from Prima. Totally different from any other Prima flowers I have seen.

I've just discovered a web site called Hungry Girl. It has great tips and tricks to cut calories and lose weight. Really good stuff. You can sign up for their e-mail newsletter!

And last but not least, one more thing for you to check out:

this video

It's very short so please check it out. It is touching. My son Joe is going to volunteer at the Special Olympics World Winter Games here in Idaho this winter and I'm so damn proud of him!

Thanks as always for stopping by and don't forget to say HI!

Love to all and happy fall!

Five Faves Friday! (um, on Sunday)

My sweet and wicked talented friend Dena does this on her blog every Friday so I thought that I would join the party! It was hard to just pick five 'cause there's just so much good stuff to tell ya about!

First, I gotta tell you about my Flip camera. Loving this little baby. I've been using it lately to video tape Nate's funky dances in his underwear in my bathroom mirror! Hilarious. Maybe I'll share one here soon. Don't tell Special K! He would freak fo sho.

You've gotta run out and get this months copy of Scrapbook Trends Magazine. So much good stuff in there from lots of my online scrappin' friends. Natey is on page 59 looking cuter than ever! ;0) wink wink!

Sex And The City comes out on DVD Tuesday. Woo Hoo! I know I'll be watching this one over and over again while cooking up some scrappy goodness in my happy place. Love it! I checked all of the Sunday ads this morning and it looks like Best Buy has it priced lowest at $14.99. I think I'll get it at Target anyway! I'll save some dough on gas.

This year will be Nate's first year trick or treating! He just wouldn't walk beside us and hold hands the last couple of years. I've got his pirate costume all ready for him and he says "arrrrr"! So cute! I've GOTTA get him this bucket for his candy...

And of course teach him how to say "trick or treat" to get it filled up with candy!

Okay, one more fave to share with you for today... GIZMOBIES for your iPod! Denise told me about these. I got this one.

Hope you've all had a great weekend! Ours has been fun. I taught a card class yesterday to ten nine year old girls. So fun! Had a date night with Special K last night. Went out to dinner and then out for a drink at a new "Saloon" here in town. It was fun! Today he is going to take care of some of the Honey-Do projects on my list and I get to scrap and watch the Red Sox! They could clinch a spot in the playoffs TODAY! Go Sox!

Peace,
~L

wednesday, humpday, anti-procrastination day...

I've got a few minutes to bloggity-blog before I have to go put my baby boo on the bus! I think I'm outta my funk. Good thing. Couldn't even stand myself! Lotsa stuff going on! Special K (Denise gave Kirk that nick name and it just stuck!) had a J-O-B interview outta town yesterday, a good one, a big one. Please send us your good vibes for this one, my friends!! Um, let's see what else? Oh, anyone watch The Biggest Loser? My next door neighbor and sister from another mister, Pam, has been raving about it foreva so I taped it last night and watched it after the Sox game (which they lost - boo freaking hoo!). OMG, I'm so hooked! I LoVe this show. Love the couple that are parents of a boy with autism. Love the father/son cab driver team from Boston!! My dad and brother used to both drive cabs in Boston and they are both in the "Chub" club so Tom and LT remind me of them! My girl on the street, Denise, this hot mama:

Who just had a birthday and thinks she is old, puhleeez girl! Remind me to tell you all of her embarrasing, see-through when wet, white bikini story! Bwahahahahaha! Well, Denise finds the greatest scrappy stuff in the universe and sends it all to me and I do all of her scrappin. Total win-win ya know?? She just sent me the new Making Memories Christmas stuffs and I LOVE it! I jumped in right away and made these:

One for her and one for me! Well, I was totally inspired by watching the Biggest Loser last night so I am gonna get my azz to the gym this morning and work it! Then I'm gonna come home and make something pretty for my BFF Becky who's birthday is today but I'm late on the gift, lame, I know! Happy Birthday Beck!

Wow, lotsa birthdays this month, huh? Sasha had a birthday yesterday. You have GOTTA watch her blog videos, she is such a hoot, no lie! Cracks me up!

I'll try to be back later to post whatever the hell I come up with to make for Beck.

Loves to ya!

Love them...

A pretty obvious statement from a mom but I just do. They make me laugh and cry and make me pull my hair out sometimes. I love them more than anything. They fill my heart and bless my life.

That's it. That's all I wanted to say today.

Oh and this little quote too:

"If you are not using your smile, you are like a man with a million dollars in the bank and no checkbook."
-Les Giblin

Love to you,

I'm ok!

Thanks to all of my sweet friends for your calls and texts and emails. I know it's not like me to go too long without blogging so you've all been worried. I'm fine. Just been in a little bit of a funk and under the weather and exhausted. I think I'm coming out of it and feeling a little better. Got a lot going on lately so just getting through it. Hope all is well with all of you.

I did a little scrapbooking last week. Here are a couple of layouts and a card I put together:

I'm going to the Shakespeare festival tonight with my friend Steph to see Greater Tuna. It's a comedy. That is good. We all could use a few laughs! I just love being out there under the stars. So pretty.

I've gotta give a shout out to my good friend Dede! Her 40th birthday is today! Happy birthday beautiful! I hope you are doing something really fabulous and fun. I feel like a heel that I haven't even mailed your card yet. Not like me. Sorry!

Well, have a great Friday and a great weekend. Leave a comment and let me know what you are up to! I love to hear from you.

Lotsa LOVE!

another canvas...

the Red Sox played a day game today and had a come from behind victory! So exciting. I sat in my scrappy room and watched while I finished the second canvas for Sheryl.

Lily likes pastel colors so I dug through my stash and found some shabby chic, girlie colors. I can't wait 'til the girls see them!

Hope your Wednesday is treating you right!

finally...

My friend Sheryl asked for a rush job on a couple of canvasses for her daughter Lily and her best friend Savannah. I created this one last night while watching the Red Sox beat up on the Orioles (YIPPEE, more about the Sox later).

The Heidi Swapp chandelier transparency was the wrong color so I flipped it over and it was a lighter pink on the other side so I'm happy with the way it turned out. I'm going to work on the other one today and I'll post it when I'm done. Thanks for stopping by!
