April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day
Did you know…
*Autism affects as many as 1 in 150 children and 1 in 94 boys Autism is the fastest- growing serious developmental disability in the world
*More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with diabetes, cancer, & AIDS combined
*Boys are four times more likely than girls to have autism
*There is no medical detection or cure for autism, but early diagnosis and intervention improve outcomes
*Autism does not discriminate by geography, class, or ethnicity
Please go to the
Autism Speaks website to learn more about their organization and all that they do!
I have a badge on my sidebar which raises money for Autism Speaks, a charity near and dear to me. Won't you help? If you make a {tax deductible} donation this month (Autism Awareness Month) just leave me a comment to let me know. I will choose one generous giver on May 1st to receive a beautiful custom made photo pillow from yours truly!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for the Autism Awareness post. It's an important one for my family. :) Did I tell you Owen is going for observation at the preschool next week to see if they feel he's eligible? Looking forward to hearing what they say. Love ya. Miss you. Kisses. Stacey
PS Donated to the Autism Speaks :)
I am so glad you posted this. I knew this about 2 APR, and I knew you knew too. I have been in 3rd grade and went to HS today. I'll tell ya about it later. BTW, do you know the stores in Idaho Falls to visit? I can't seem to get ahold of Jann N. I miss ya. I'll call FRI ~ my day off.
