My absolute favorite part of my trip was Little Italy. The people were so friendly, the atmosphere charged. It so reminded me of the stories my Mom told me of her Saturdays in the North End (Little Italy in Boston) growing up with her grandparents. I couldn't stop thinking of my mom while we were there. She would have LOVED it!
We met Nando (I think he has a little thing for Becky but who wouldn't?) at the Yankees game Friday night and he insisted we come to his restaurant the following night. We arrived and immediately had wine in our hands. Nando said "I'll order for you!" I love that! Everything we had, the Insalata Caprese with roasted peppers, the stuffed artichokes, the Veal Sorrentino and scallops, a foodie's paradise. So good! If you are in NYC you have to go to Buona Notte, 120 Mulberry Street, 212-965-1111. Tell Nando Lori, Becky and Kelley sent you!

Sounds like fun, Little Italy is always a colorful and - ahem - interesting place to go. Glad you had a good time. You got enough photos to do an entire NYC album!
